PURPOSE:To save number of external terminals and to attain the ease of use by using a solid-state image pickup element incorporating a specific information generating means so as to extract specific information and comparing it with reference information, selecting a signal corresponding to the specific information and supplying it to the solid-state image pickup element. CONSTITUTION:Number of picture elements of a solid-state image pickup element 1a is 510 and specific information is obtained as an output signal of a sample-and-hold circuit 2a during the 3rd horizontal output period of the vertical blanking period. Since an output signal of an AND gate 617 of an extraction circuit 6 is at an H level during the horizontal output period, the specific information is stored in high-order 510 bits of the shift register 62. The low-order 160 bits are set with 0s. The register 62 compares a parallel output signal with reference information stored in an address 00 of a high-order 510-bit storage circuit 72 and when they are dissident, the output signal of the comparator circuit goes to an H level and the count of a counter 74 is added with 1 in the next horizontal output period to set the address of the storage circuit 72 to 01. This is repeated to obtain a correct video signal. |
