PURPOSE:To set the exchanging time of a filter in compliance with the environment by providing a motor-driven blower, the filter, a specified integrating means, a storage means, a comparator means, and a setting means to the title air cleaner. CONSTITUTION:When the output of a gas sensor 26 is set at automatic operation, the motor-driven blower 34 is operated weakly, intermediately, and strongly in conformity to the contamination in a room, and operated at a set air quantity when the output is set at manual operation. When the blower 34 is operated, the operating time of the filter is integrated at regular time intervals by the integrating means 30. The maximum operating time is set by the user with a filter operating time setting switch 33a in the operation part 33 in accordance with the environment of the air cleaner and operating frequency. The set value is stored in the storage means 31. The integrated value of the integrating means 30 and the maximum filter operating time stored in the storage means 31 are compared by the comparator means 32, and a filter exchange sign 36 is flickered when the integrated value exceeds the maximum value. |
