The present invention relates to a method of recording information on a support of disc type as well as a record support for recorded information and a recording/reading device for implementing the method. The method of recording information on a support of disc type along adjacent tracks, the tracks including data regions and pre-etched information regions, the pre-etched information regions being aligned radially along the adjacent tracks, is characterised in that the binary elements 17 of all the pre-etched information regions 6, 7 are recorded with a constant angular dimension, in that at least one pre-etched information region and at least one data region in series form a band, this band having at least the length of a track and the support being divided into n bands where n >/= 1 and in that the binary elements 18a of the data regions of any one band are recorded with a constant angular dimension whilst the binary elements 18a, 18b of the data regions of two different bands have different angular dimensions.
