Apparatus for regulating the feedihg speed of strip entering the rolls of a cold rolling mill stand comprises a device (30-31) which regulates the rate of rotation of the feed-off coil (6) such that the entrance speed (VE) and leaving speed (VA) of the coil into and from the roll stand are synchronised with the roll gap dimensions. ADVANTAGE - The apparatus is technically simple and avoids prior art problems associated with non-synchronised feed-in feed-out speeds and roll gap.
