摘要 PURPOSE:To miniaturize an internal combustion engine, by forming a crank shaft so as to generate a predetermined inertia couple, and by forming a balance adjustment part in order to eliminate the inertia couple at a damper pulley and at a fly wheel. CONSTITUTION:Crank arms 32, 33 of both edges of a crank shaft 31 are formed at the same thickness as that of crank arms 13 through 16, and balance adjustment parts 35, 37 are formed at a damper pulley 34 and at a fly wheel 36. An inertia couple generated during rotation of the crank shaft 31 is offset by an inertia couple generated during rotation of the damper pulley 34 and the fly wheel 36, an internal combustion engine can thus be miniaturized.
