The image section measuring device uses a transparent plate (1) which is placed over the image and which is marked with a 2-dimensional grid raster pref comprising fine mm lines (2,4) and heavy cm lines (3,5). The plate has 2 perpendicular edges with at least one edge used to guide a cutting tool. The grid raster may be printed on the underside of the plate (1) or etched in the surface of the plate (1). The mm and cm grid lines (2,4;3,5) may be differently coloured. ADVANTAGE - Precise cutting out of required image section.
