摘要 In order to move a tool or an auxiliary device with high positioning accuracy and with fine displacement resolution in the direction of an axis and to rotate it simultaneously or subsequently about this axis, a compact and easy-to-assemble positioning device has been created, preferably for NC milling machines or machining centres, in which, according to the invention, the mounting plate (12) carrying the workpiece is moved by a threaded-spindle drive (7, 8) in the axial direction, and this threaded-spindle drive itself, connected to a rotary cylinder (2), is rotatably fitted in an outer housing (1) by the bearings (3, 4). By the selection of a threaded-spindle drive free of backlash and drive elements free of backlash, the directions of movement of the positioning device can be reversed without loss of accuracy. The possibility of exchanging a few parts, namely the outer housing (1), the threaded spindle (8) and the rotary cylinder (2), for a positioning task with longer axial travel and the possibility of exchanging the motors (15, 20) or if need be of attaching suitable reduction gearing for a finer displacement resolution bring about high flexibility of this positioning device for the most varied applications. <IMAGE>
