PURPOSE:To investigate the structure of a material in a short time by observing the surface structure of the material, processing and storing an input image, and outputting optional stored images by enlargement, reduction, or composition. CONSTITUTION:An optical microscope 1 is fitted with an automatic focus adjusting mechanism 2 and an XY control stage 4. Further, the microscope 1 is provided with a computer 6 which controls the position of the stage 4 to move the stage 4 by an optional movement quantity at optional time intervals in the XY direction and stores a storage device 5 with information on the relative position of the stage 4 calculated reversely from the movement quantity. The optical microscopic structure observed through the microscope 1 is inputted through a television camera 7. This image is processed by enlarged, reduced, or composed through an image processor 8 and the result is displayed on a display 9 and printed on a printer 10. Thus, the tissue of the material is easily investigated in a short time. |
