<p>PURPOSE:To suppress overvoltage when a diode is commutated by connecting a saturable reactor in series with the inductance of a stator coil to be wound around a stator core. CONSTITUTION:Output from a magnet type AC generator 11 is rectified through a converter comprising a diode and a thyristor and fed to a battery 12 and a load 13. Supply voltage is controlled constant by controlling the firing angle of the thyristor through a voltage regulator 19. Saturable reactors 151, 152, 153 are connected in series with stator coils 141, 142, 143. Reverse current flow is suppressed, when the thyristor is commutated, through the current suppression effect of the saturable reactors.</p> |
