The strength, in particular the tensile strength, of such pressing belts has to meet high requirements, which until now had to be satisfied by producing the reinforcing fabric belt, onto which a flowable mixture of a prepolymer was poured in order to create a smooth or textured surface on the surface of the belt, at least partially from high-tenacity yarns, which however could only be controlled with great difficulty during weaving, for which reasons certain high-strength materials could not be used at all. The invention avoids this disadvantage by introducing single-strand or multi-strand reinforcing yarns, and/or reinforcing yarns in the form of tapes, into the coating composition during the coating of the reinforcing fabric belt with the prepolymer mixture at the same time as the coating composition and, as a result, building these up on the surface of the reinforcing fabric belt. <IMAGE>
