The invention relates to a sheet-metal cladding having retaining profiles (3) which can be fastened on a masonry-wall projection (1) and, in the fastened state, engage behind, and retain, an angled-off border portion (7) of the metal covering (6). For the purpose of mounting said sheet-metal cladding simply and rapidly, even in the case of large dimensional deviations, it is proposed that there be provided, guided on the retaining profile (3) such that it can be displaced counter to the action of a spring (13), in each case at least one bracing means (5) which engages behind the angled-off border portion (7) and retains the metal covering (6) in a braced state. <IMAGE>
