Mobile silos for the storage of cereals (maize or the like) are in the simplest instance placed directly on the ground. The result of this, however, is that silo juices escaping from the ensiling material can seep into the groundwater in an inadmissible way. In order to prevent this, already the ground has been covered with a liquid-tight foil before the application of the silage. It is then no longer possible to drive over the foil in order to apply the ensiling material, with the result that it becomes difficult to heap up the silo material. Proceeding from this, the invention is intended to provide a ground covering (10) for a mobile silo which it is possible to drive over. The mobile silo according to the invention has a ground covering (10) which is composed of a liquid-tight foil (16) and of a liquid-permeable and drive-over supporting layer (17) arranged above it. The invention is especially suitable for mobile silos which secrete large quantities of silo juices. <IMAGE>
