A switching panel for controlling electrical window winders and sunroofs in motor vehicles has a plurality of actuation elements which are movably contained in a housing comprising a baseplate, a frame and a front plate, it being possible for at least one movable electrical contact to be actuated via each actuation element, which movable contact interacts with fixed contacts on the baseplate. In order with simple means to protect the current-carrying parts of the switching panel from dust and liquid and to illuminate display windows in the front plate or in the actuation elements, an intermediate plate is arranged in the housing at a distance away from the baseplate and from the front plate, which intermediate plate has penetrations for coupling the actuation elements with the movable contacts and on which intermediate plate light-conducting rods are fixed which conduct light from a central light source to the display windows.
