PURPOSE:To carry out rapid room heating even immediately after start of an engine by connecting, to the heat exchanger of the water-cooled engine, a regenerative heat exchanger consisting of a heat accumulating material comprising a plurality of hollow bodies and utilizing super cooling and device for releasing the super cooling of the heat accumulating material as required. CONSTITUTION:A radiator 3 is connected to the water jacket 2 of a water- cooled engine 1 by means of a cooling water passage A provided with a first pump 4. And also a heat exchanger 5 and a regenerative heat exchanger 6 are connected thereto by means of another cooling water passage B, and a car heater is built up with these devices and a blower 9. In the above construction, the regenerative heat exchanger 6 is built up by housing a heat accumulating material 21 utilizing super cooling and a device 22 for releasing the super cooling of the heat accumulating material 21 as required, in a box body 20 for allowing circulation of cooling water between itself and the water-cooled engine 1. And the heat accumulating material 21 is formed by connecting together a plurality of hollow bodies 21A by means of connecting bodies 21 B and also sealing heal accumulating agent 21C and gas 21D in each hollow body 21A. |
