PURPOSE: To obtain a security card with a constituting layer excellently adhered thereto by bonding gelatin layers of a data medium sheet and a transparent protective plastic film by using a polymerizable adhesive made of a carboxylic acid having a polymerizable acrylic group. CONSTITUTION: A data holding sheet and a transparent polymer film are brought into contact with one another via gelatin layers, and bonded with an adhesive composition containing a polymerizable acrylic group. The acid having the acrylic group to be used is a reaction product of an anhydride of a phthalic acid, trimellitic acid or the like and a compound having a hydroxyl group and a polymerizable acrylic group. A weight ratio of the carboxylic acid to a polyvalent substance of the adhesive composition is preferably 1:5 to 19:1. The composition directly coats one or both surfaces to be adhered in the case of liquid or solid or liquid in response to properties and relative amounts of the components. In the case of the solid, it coats the surface to be adhered as solution of a volatile solvent, and after the solvent is volatilized, the adhered surfaces are mated. |
