Screen sleeve for rotary screen printing and method for producing a screen sleeve

Known screen sleeves consist of pure nickel and are produced in a complex procedure comprising many steps. This leads to high material and production costs. The new screen sleeve is to be more cost-effective. Additionally, a method for its production is to be specified. The new screen sleeve is characterised in that it consists of plastic. As a result, a substantial cost reduction is achieved. For the production method, provision is preferably made for the screen sleeve to be made of plastic by the centrifugal casting method and subsequently to be provided with the desired pattern perforation by means of laser rays. The new method provides a screen sleeve of high quality at low production costs with little outlay. The new screen sleeve is particulary suitable for use in rotary screen printing. <IMAGE>
