PURPOSE:To enable judgement whether appearance of a soldered part after a reflow is acceptable or not by a method wherein a checking area is set ahead of a lead, and is irradiated with light from above to detect a light-dark-level separation of brightness. CONSTITUTION:A lead section L is irradiated with light from above and when the light is observed with a camera 3, a horizontal base end (a) and the tip (c) thereof reflect the light upward and are observed as light part of brightness. On the other hand, light incident into an inclined part (b) and a filet (d) is mostly reflected to the side to be observed as dark part of brightness. As a result, when a checking area A is set ahead of a lead, a horizontal face of a soldered part 7 is observed as light part while an inclined face N thereof as dark part after a reflow heat treated with a soldering device. There is little of intermediate brightness. Thus, the propriety of the soldered part can be judged accurately by observing a light reflection characteristic of the area A. |
