<p>PURPOSE:To inform a fault to a terminal equipment immediately by allowing a packet exchange supporting a network layer with a connection to interrupt a call by the interruption of the link layer. CONSTITUTION:Relay packet equipments 1, 2 being relay nodes apply connectionless network processing and packet equipments 1i, 1j, 2i, 2j become nodes applying connection presence network processing respectively. A terminal equipment E1i under a packet equipment 1i and a terminal equipment E2i under a packet equipment 2i detect a fault in a private line 3, and when a private line link is interrupted, the relay packet equipment 1 interrupts all link layers L1i...L1j. The packet equipment 1i interrupts all the network layer on the link layer L1i because the link layer L1i is interrupted. Thus, the terminal equipment E1i detects a fault of the private line 3 immediately.</p> |
