PURPOSE:To immediately consume toner as much as the excess of the toner without switching a mode to the other mode by automatically consuming all the toner as much as the excess of the toner before an image just after the toner is detected to be excessive is formed when the toner is detected to be excessive by a toner quantity sensor. CONSTITUTION:The over toner detecting means 112 which detects that the toner is excessive is provided and the excessive quantity of the toner is calculated by the output of the over toner detecting means 112. Then, an electrostatic latent image is stopped from being formed on a photosensitive body 8 when the output is started from the over toner detecting means 112. Simultaneously, electric charge is stopped from being erased by a blank lamp 10 and a whole area on the photosensitive body 8 is electrostatically charged. As the result of that, the toner is stuck. Then, when the state that the toner is excessive is cancelled, the ordinary image forming action is started again. Thus, the toner as much as the excess of the toner can be quickly consumed without specially providing the other mode for reducing the quantity of the toner. |
