PURPOSE:To obtain block-shaped graphite having superior blocking characteristics and useful for an X-ray optical element, an X-ray monochromator, a neutron beam diffraction mirror, a filter, etc., by treating arom. polyamide films under specified conditions. CONSTITUTION:Arom. polyamide films are separately heat-treated at >=2,200 deg.C and the resulting carbonaceous films are superposed and bonded at >=2,000 deg.C under >=4kg/cm<2> pressure. |
