PURPOSE:To simplify constitution by providing an optical channel with a laser diode optical gate matrix switch provided with a distributing connection function and a photo-electric conversion function. CONSTITUTION:A communication control signal sent from s subscriber is inputted to the optical channel 1-1 as it is, and is detected by the photo-electric conversion function of an optical gate element in an optical matrix, and the optical channel 1-1 is controlled by this detection information, and simultaneously, the information is distributed to plural subscribers by the distributing connection function of optical matrix switches 1-21, 1-22. Namely, the optical gate element to constitute the optical matrix switches 1-21, 1-22 comes to fulfil two duties of an photo-electric conversion operation and a distributing connection operation. Thus, an exclusive light receiving element, etc., for signal detection need not be provided, and parts become useless, and an economical exchange can be obtained. |
