PURPOSE:To accomplish easy and highly accurate control of copying process and to contrive the simplification and the reduction in cost of a control system by providing first and second control means. CONSTITUTION:The main control panel as the first control means produces digital data indicating a control target value at which the processing control panel as the second control means controls its target system, and serially transmits it to the second control means in order to set it; the second control means detects the condition of its control system, produces feedback digital data indicating the condition, and then serially transmits it to the first control means. This decreases the number of the interface lines between the first control means and second control means as much as possible, the first control means being, for example, the main control panel, the second control means being, for example, high voltage power for electrification/transfer/developing bias, a developing control panel for toner density, and a lamp regulator to control an exposure lamp. Therefore, cost is reduced and control of an image having high resolution is realized. |
