PURPOSE:To easily perform the washing of a catalyst by short-time immersion to reuse said catalyst by dissolving or emulsifying a salt of carbonate and a chelating agent in water as a washing agent for a denitration catalyst at the combustion time of coal. CONSTITUTION:As a washing agent for removing the scale adhered to a denitration catalyst at the combustion time of coal, a composition prepared by dissolving or emulsifying a salt of carbonate such as sodium carbonate or calcium carbonate and a chelating agent such as ethylenediamine tetra- acetatic acid or citric acid in water is used. When the used coal burning denitration catalyst is immersed in this washing agent for a definite time, surface scale is dissolved in a short time or a part thereof is released to be removed from the surface of the catalyst. By this simple method, the catalyst can be reused. |
