PURPOSE:To reduce an initial cost, maintenance cost, etc., by executing the removal of the org. material eluted from a photosensitive material and the coloration components carried over of a developing soln. CONSTITUTION:The fixer overflowing from an automatic developing machine 1 for films is passed through a column 2 of an ion exchange resin having, for example, quaternary ammonium of a microporous type as an exchange group, by which the impurities essentially consisting of the org. components are adsorbed away and thereafter, the fixer is received in a storage tank 3. The regenerated fixer subjected to the complete regeneration treatment is put at 25 parts per 75 parts of the fixer stored in the storage tank 3 into a replenishing liquid tank 5 and is used as the replenishing liquid for the automatic developing machine. The amt. of the fixer to be used is decreased to <=1/2 and the initial cost, quality control cost, etc., are reduced. |
