PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity for adjusting a blanket and a strip of printing paper even if the size of a print pattern is varied by such an arrangement wherein the front edge and rear edge of the balnket are detected and the strip of printing paper is caused to run only during such a period wherein the blanket is brought to contact with the paper. CONSTITUTION:Offset printing ink applied to a print pattern part 13 provided on a printing plate 11 is transferred to a blanket 17 and the front edge A of the blanket 17 is detected by detector 31 when it passes through point C where it is brought to contact with a strip of printing paper 25 and the detector 31 sends signals to a control circuit unit 29. By this, drag rolls 27 rotate to cause the printing paper 25 to run and offset ink 33 is transferred from the blanket 17 to the paper. Next, the rear edge 13 of the blanket 17 is detected by the detector 31 when it passes through point C, and the detector stops the drag rolls 27, contrary to the above, causing the printing paper 25 to stop. Consequently, a print pattern can be continuously printed on the printing paper 25. |
