Drying of thermosensitive materials - by spraying on inert particles in a circulating heat carrying agent

Drying thermosensitive materials, esp. in the creamery and cheese making sections of the dairy industry, comprises atomising them to adhere to inert elements which circulate in a closed loop in the stream of a heat carrying agent at higher temp. In the upper part of the stream which takes up not more than one-third of its cross-section, the heat carrying agent is induced to perform a rotary motion with an axial velocity 2-3 times higher than its velocity in the remaining part of the stream.
