<p>PURPOSE:To easily perform continuous measuring operation by providing a detector, a branch flow passage, and a collecting filter. CONSTITUTION:Sample gas S which flows in a sample gas flow passage 11 is discharged to the atmosphere through a protection filter 15, openings 18 and 19 of a selector valve 16, and a 1st suction pump 21. Further, gas S which branches from the flow passage 11 and flows in a flow passage 12 passes through the collecting filter 13, which removes particulates; and thus reference gas R is obtained and supplied to a cell 1 through the flow passage 12 by a 2nd suction pump 24. Then the gas S and the gas R after the particulates are removed are supplied to the cell 1 alternately. Further, a detector 7 detects the difference between the gas R and gas S as variation in the dimming quantity of a infrared rays due to SOF (soluble organic fraction) and dry soot and a detector 8 detects the difference as variation in the dimming quantity of infrared rays due to the dry soot. For the purpose, those detection signals are processed properly to measure the desired amount of particulates.</p> |
