PURPOSE:To facilitate branching and connecting work in optical cable laying work by forming a deformed part in the part of a spiral groove part to store an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:When a spiral groove 16 is formed on the outer circumference of a long spacer, the speed of rotation is changed intermittently by an inverter and a deformed part 17 is formed in the part of the spiral groove 16. That is to say, the spiral groove 16 is provided on the outer circumference of the spacer, the deformed part 17 is formed in the spiral groove 16 and an optical fiber 18 is stored in the spiral groove 16. Consequently, a jig, etc., are inserted in the deformed part 17 and a core can be pulled out. Thus, in optical cable core pulling out work in the optical cable laying work, the core can be easily pulled out by using the jig. |
