PURPOSE: To prevent the distortion and sealing contact loss of a seal lip by providing one of reverse bend parts with a reinforcing member formed of material lower in elasticity than a flexible section. CONSTITUTION: An elastomeric inner shell 22 is integrally formed directly at a case shell 20. A main body part 12 is an integral part of the inner shell 22 and is connected to the inner shell 22 through a flexible section 24. The flexible section 24 is formed of a plurality of integrally formed annular parts 26, 28, 30 formed of the same elastomeric material as the shell 22 and main body part 12. A reinforcing ring 37 is formed of preferably high temperature plastic material molded in the elastomeric flexible section 24 at the time of manufacturing a lip seal assembly 10. |
