<p>PURPOSE:To select which of the backing-up of paper delivery jamming and the increasing of a printing speed is made preferential by clearing the content of a backup memory in which the data of a page to be printed is stored before waiting the completion of paper delivery by changing over a change-over means in order to perform the backing-up of paper delivery jamming. CONSTITUTION:In the case of no backing-up, a change-over means 9 is changed over to non-backing-up and, when printed paper passes through a printing means 4, the passage thereof is immediately detected by a sensor 5 and a paper passage signal is sent to a backup memory 3 through the change-over means 9. The data of one page stored in the memory 3 is cleared by said paper passage signal and the bit map development of the next page is performed in a bit map developing means 2 and the data thereof is stored in the memory 3 to start the printing of the next page. When the presence of backing-up is selected, the change-over means 9 is changed over to send the paper delivery completion signal from the paper delivery sensor 7 present in the final stage of a paper delivery passage 8 to the memory 3. In this case, since the data of the memory 3 is cleared after the completion of the delivery of printed paper is confirmed, paper delivery jamming can be backed up perfectly.</p> |
