PURPOSE: To facilitate repair of a pipeline by a method wherein a pipe for repair constituted of a thermoplastic material hard at normal temperatures and shaped in flat folds is drawn out and positioned in a pipeline and it is inflated in the shape of a tube by heat and an internal pressure and made stable by cooling. CONSTITUTION: A hot box 18 is brought to a manhole 16 of a main drain pipe 14 to be repaired. Then, one end of a pipe material 10a of a thermoplastic material being hard at normal temperatures is connected by a holder 28 to a drawing wire 26 inserted from another manhole. The pipe material 10a is softened in the form of a spool 12 inside the hot box 18 by a heater 24 and, by drawing the drawing wire 26 by a winch provided at the adjacent manhole, the fresh pipe 10a folded and softened is inserted from the spool 12 into a pipeline through a down pipe 22 and a roller 23. Then, the fresh pipe 10a is heated and inflated so as to be re-formed in the shape of a pipe. Thereby a pipe for repair having a radial strength sufficient for enduring an external liquid pressure and the pressure of earth and sand can be formed. |
