PURPOSE:To simplify a servo mechanism by recording a magnetic pattern (track) in a spiral condition onto a video tape by means of a video head to be circularly rotated on the recording surface. CONSTITUTION:When a video signal is inputted to a video head 12, a track 10b of the video signal is recorded in the shallow position of a magnetic substance 10a formed on a video tape 10 by the semi-rotation of the video head 12, and by the semi-rotation further, the track 10b of the video signal to be successive is recorded in the deep position of the magnetic substance 10a. Namely, since the recording of the track 10b is successive, the recording and reproducing of the video signal can be successively executed, and the circular rotation of the video head 12 is executed in parallel to the recording surface of the video tape 10. Thus, the servo mechanism for the feed control of the video tape 10, etc., can be simplified. |
