<p>The drive of the compressor wheel by combustion gases does not involve the use of a turbine. Using a so-called 'intermistic cooling system', and by reason of the compact format of the rotor, the combustion temp. can be raised to a high level, thus improving the engine performance. The motor can be built with an incorporated starter motor/generator, and with a fan, for use in vertical take-off and landing type aircraft. Using a feed-back diffuser method for air compression, the pressure can be increased 25 times.</p> |
