PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically recover the visibility of a mirror when it is lowered, by composing in such a way to detect the condition of substance adhering on the mirror and to drive a ultrasonic vibrator connected on the back of the mirror with the detected signal. CONSTITUTION:When water droplet, ice, frost, blur, etc. adhering on the surface of a mirror 12 short-circuits or connects with a low resistance between transference electrodes A, B, a mirror condition detecting means judges the visibility of the mirror 12 is that much lowered, and a driving means driving a ultrasonic vibrator 20 in a specified vibration mode. Hence, the water droplet, ice, frost, blur, etc. adhering on the surface of the mirror 12 are removed to recover the visibility of the mirror 12. When the water droplet, ice, frost, blur, etc., which have short-circuited or connected with a low resistance between transference electrodes A, B, are removed, the transference electrodes A, B of the mirror condition detecting means are brought into a state of isolation to stop the driving of the ultrasonic vibrator 20. |
