PRODUCTION OF ZEOLITE CATALYST

摘要

PURPOSE: To improve hydrogenation conversion to hydrocarbon by forming a catalyst obtd. by bonding a Y-type zeolite treated with a polyvalent metal salt soln. having a specific cation radius to a group VIII and/or group VIb metal. CONSTITUTION: The Y-type zeolite of <=0.13 in molar ratio of aluminum oxide to an alkali metal oxide is treated with the soln. of the polyvalent metal salt having the cation radius of 0.6 to 1.0Å, by which an ion exchange is effected. This ion-exchanged zeolite is then bonded with the hydrogenation component which is the group VIII and/or group VIb metal without subjecting the zeolite to a calcining stage, by which the zeolitic catalyst is produced. The Y-type zeolite which is raw material is obtd. by treating the Y-type zeolite contg. a large amt. of sodium oxide with an ammonium compd.
