The invention relates to a shock-absorbing support with a hydraulic stop effect comprising two rigid reinforcements 1, 2, a spring 3 connecting the two reinforcements and hydraulic shock-absorbing means including a rigid stop 22 secured to one of the two reinforcements 2, a rigid shoe 4 secured to the other reinforcement 1, a flexible annular bellows 6 connecting the shoe and the stop so as to form, together with them, a sealed chamber C, an elastomer ring 7 attached inside the chamber on one of the opposing faces of the stop and of the shoe, the axial dimension of which ring is less than the distance between the two said faces for the mean position of the support, the restricted passage 8 making the volume A inside the ring communicate permanently with the volume B outside the ring lying inside the chamber, and a liquid L filling the chamber and the restricted passage. <IMAGE>
