The invention relates to an independent watering device which is easy to use, allowing an increase in the duration for which plant tubs with a water reserve or simple flower pots remain damp. It functions according to the principle of connected containers. It is constituted by an additional tank 3a surmounted by a filling plug, a collector 6a, a starter pipe 5 through which air is drawn in order to start the connecting pipes 4.
