<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the creeping-in of resin, and improve optical transferring characteristics by making a window part flat in a first molding, providing a metal mold in a second molding with a protruding part, and pressing it against the front surface of a photo detector subjected to the first molding. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element substrate is fixed on a lead frame; a first molding is performed by using light-transparent resin 4; thereby forming a light emitting element 5L whose window part 15 is flat. A photodetector 5P formed in the same manner as the light emitting element 5L is arranged as as to face the element 5L; a secondary molding is performed by using light- opaque resin 13, thereby obtaining a unified body. In this case, the elements 5L and 5P are pushed forward by recessed parts 14; parts turning to a light emitting window and a light receiving window are made to abut against the protruding part of a second molding metal mold; thereby preventing the resin 13 from creeping into the window parts 15. Hence, position shift of elements at the window parts is not caused, so that a double molded photo transistor having high precision and excellent transferring characteristics can be obtained.</p> |
