PURPOSE:To light plural kinds of discharge lamps without respect to each other by constituting an output transformer of a primary coil and a plurality of secondary coils whose number of windings are different from each other and connecting in series the discharge lamps whose rated powers are different from each other to each secondary coil. CONSTITUTION:A leakage transformer 114 has secondary coils 114b and 114c, the number of windings of the former being more than that of the latter. Fluorescent lamps 110 and 112 are connected to the secondary coils 114b and 114c, respectively. Further, switching elements 130 and 132 are connected to the fluorescent lamps 110 and 112 in series, respectively. The best discharge starting timing is thus set to the lamps 110 and 112 respectively by adjusting the time constant of each capacitance of the switching elements 130 and 132 according to each caracteristics of the lamps 110 and 112. Plural kinds of discharge lamps are therefore lighted with best condition without respect to each other. |
