发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF ULTRAHIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT POLYETHYLENE POROUS MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To easily obtain an ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHPE) mold having uniform porous degree by filling UHPE powder in a metal mold, heating it at a specific temperature, then regulating the density of the UHPE filled in the mold, then pressurizing, heating and further cooling it. CONSTITUTION:UHPE powder is filled in a metal mold and heated. If the heating temperature is in a range designated by a formula, it is not particularly limited. Its heating time can be altered depending upon the temperature, and is normally approx. 60 - 180min per 1cm of thickness of a blocklike porous material molded in the mold. After heating, the density of the UHPE filled in the mold is adjusted. This adjustment is to determined the porous degree of the material, and is normally conducted by a method of setting the height of the UHPE filled by the operation of pressure (approx. 0.3 - 40kg/cm<2>) to a predetermined value. After this adjustment, it is further pressurized and heated, then cooled to obtain a blocklike porous material.
