PURPOSE:To prevent a traveling device body from stamping on a power cord by automatically winding the cord when the cord is suspended. CONSTITUTION:Power is supplied from a power source plug socket 7 to a traveling device body 1 through a power cord 6 retracted from its top. The cord 6 is fed from a cord reel 9 driven by a motor 10. At least upper face of the body 1 and the surface of the cord 6 are conductive, and a measuring terminal 14 is brought into slidable contact with the cord 6 for measuring a resistance value. A contact detector 23 judges that the cord 6 is in contact with the upper face of the body 1 if the resistance value between the body 1 and the terminal 14 is a predetermined value or less, and outputs a contact detection signal. A contact timer 24 winds the cord 6 on the reel 9 when the contact detection signal is output continuously for a predetermined period or time or more determined in advance. |
