PURPOSE:To simplify an image controlling and to improve adhesion with an image carrier by constituting a toner carrying member of an anisotropic conductive film formed of plural electrodes and forming a space between a toner carrying member and a driving roller. CONSTITUTION:The toner carrying member 5 is constituted of the anisotropic conductive film 5c penetrated with plural fine electrode 5b formed of electrically conductive material in the direction of the thickness of the film of a dielectric film 5a constituted of insulating material. When an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive layer 6a of a photosensitive drum 6 is a line image, a part of electric lines of force from a latent image part goes toward the driving roller 4 from the electrode 5b through the space part 11 and the others go toward the edge part of the latent image. This causes edge effect. When the electrostatic latent image is solid, electric lines of force goes toward the roller 4 from the electrode 5b through the space part 11. The roller is remote from the film as far as the space part 11 and copying density corresponding to original image density can be obtained. |
