The subject of the present invention is a tank which includes a gauge 3, means for determining the angular position of the gauge 3 and means for blocking it in rotation. According to the invention, the means for determining the angular position of the gauge 3 comprise a rim 7 of the tank which is arranged close to the gauge well 2 and has a notch 7b capable of receiving, at a precise orientation corresponding to a correct orientation of the gauge, a rigid indexing element 9 fixed to this gauge. The means for blocking the gauge 3 in rotation comprise a peg 6 fixed to the tank 1 at a location such that it can penetrate into an orifice 3c, of corresponding dimensions, in a fin 3b provided on the gauge 3 when this gauge is in place with correct orientation. <IMAGE>
