The door comprises a core 5 between two metal door panels 1, the end edges being curved at more than 90 DEG but at less than 180 DEG . In each lateral edge of the door, a transverse plate 3 equipped with slots 6 is welded to the ends of the edges 2 extending from the inner surface of one door panel 1 as far as the inner surface of the other door panel 1. A covering lath (strip) 7 made from aluminium also being equipped with slots 10 and having bevelled edges, being gripped by metal screws 11 passing through the slots 10 and screwed into the slots 6 between the curved edges. The lath (strip) 7 has a recess 8 on the outer side, a covering band 12 being snap-fitted over the screws. <IMAGE>
