PURPOSE:To stabilize a sharp image by providing a light shielding means shielding light from an illuminating lamp to an original exposing side in a printer mode. CONSTITUTION:When the printer mode is selected, a shutter 17 moves in the direction of an arrow to close an opening part 16a opening the upper part of a reflecting hood 16. When a signal is given from outside in this condition, the entire rays of light from the illuminating lamp 15 pass through an opening part 16b opening the lower part of the reflecting hood 16, and irradiate the surface of a photosensitive drum 2. Namely, the drum 2 is pre-exposed. At this time, the opening part 16a opening the upper part of the reflecting hood 16 is closed by the shutter 17, whereby the light projection on the side of an optical signal generator 21 by the illuminating lamp 15 can be effectively interrupted. As a result, such trouble never occurs that an image of the optical signal generator 21 itself is copied, and a sharp image can be obtained stably. |
