摘要 PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for increasing an assembly accuracy at a light transmission line switching part and to reduce the cost by changing the total reflection conditions of an optical path converting surface and switching a light transmission line. CONSTITUTION:A total reflection surface is formed as a boundary between materials having two different refraction factors. Namely, the inner surface 43a of a recessed part 43 is made into the boundary between an air and the material of a substrate 41, and it is made into the total reflection surface to total-reflect a light incident from a transparent body side on the boundary at an angle equal to a prescribed angle or above. In the recessed part 43, an approximately triangular transparent member 45 is arranged, and onto the front surface of the transparent member 45, a refracting member 45a with a high refraction factor is stuck. Further, at the rear side of the transparent member 45, an actuator 46 is connected through a rod 46a, and by operating the electrically-driven type actuator 46, the refracting member 45a can be made to abut on the inner surface 43a of the recessed part 43. When the refracting member 45a with the high refraction factor is made to abut on the recessed part inner surface 43a, the total reflection surface is switched to a light transmission surface. Thus, a relative position accuracy between an optical fiber and a holding base does not need to be maintained high, and the cost be reduced.
