PURPOSE:To restrain oil fall and improve HLA (Hydraulic Lash Adjuster) performance by forming an upper stream side oil passage under intake ports, and communicating the upper stream side oil passage and lower stream side oil passages with communicating passages at respective front and rear ends. CONSTITUTION:An upper stream side oil passage 20 is formed under intake ports. This upper stream side oil passage 20 and two lower stream side oil passages 22, 23 are communicated with communicating passage 29 at respective front and rear ends. The two lower stream side oil passages 22, 23 are positioned respectively at the lower part of inclination of respective camshafts 5-8, and lubricating oil is supplied to HLA through branched oil passages directed obliquely upward from these two lower stream side oil passages 22, 23. Hereby, oil fall can be restrained and also HLA performance can be improved. |
