Treatment apparatus for yarn bobbins, especially cross-wound bobbins, which are placed one on the other on a yarn-bobbin spindle to form a yarn-bobbin column, with a treatment vessel, a material carrier, a lower material-carrier plate with a plurality of mountings for the yarn-bobbin spindles together with the yarn-bobbin columns, a corresponding plurality of yarn-bobbin spindles which are connected fixedly or exchangeably to the mountings, and a device for pressing the yarn-bobbin columns together on the yarn-bobbin spindles in the direction of the spindle axis. A treatment liquid can flow through the yarn-bobbin columns from the inside outwards or from the outside inwards by means of the yarn-bobbin spindles. The device for pressing the yarn-bobbin columns together has a pressing plate possessing yarn-bobbin spindle receptacles closed at the top, which correspond to the yarn-bobbin spindles on the material-carrier plate and into which the upper ends of the yarn-bobbin spindles can be introduced, the pressing plate being capable of being pressed onto the individual yarn-bobbin columns. <IMAGE>
