PURPOSE:To improve wear, heat and moisture resistances by forming a protective layer contg. a compd. produced by noncatalytically hydrolyzing a specified epoxysilane compd., a specified alkoxyalkylsilane compd. and a specified aminosilane compd. on a photoconductive layer. CONSTITUTION:An Si layer 2 and an Se-Te compd. layer 3 as photoconductive layers are formed on an electrically conductive metal support 1 and a protective layer 5 contg. a thermosetting silicon compd. produced from an epoxysilane compd. represented by formula I, an alkoxyalkylsilane compd. represented by formula II and an aminosilane compd. represented by formula III is formed on the layer 3. In the formulae I-III, R<1> is <=6C straight chain or branched alkyl or -CH2CH=CH-CH2CH2-, R<2> is <=4C straight chain or branched alkyl, R<3> is OR<3> or <=4C straight chain or branched alkyl, R<4> is <=8C straight chain or branched alkyl, R<5> is 2-4C straight chain or branched alkyl and n is an integer of <=3. The friction between the resulting sensitive body and paper, etc., is prevented and the sensitive body can withstand continuous copying at high temp. and humidity. |
