METHOD FOR CONTROLLING LIFE AND DEATH OF MICROORGANISM WITH MAGNETISM

PURPOSE:To enable safe life and death control at ordinary temperature by varying characteristics of a magnetic field to a specific value or above in the magnetic field where microorganisms are placed. CONSTITUTION:A liquid 11 for treatment containing microorganisms is introduced from a pipe 12 through a valve 13 into a tank 14 to close the valve 13. A pump 15 is then driven to pass the liquid 11 through a pipe 16 and a magnetic treating device 17 and a magnetic substance ring 18 (or amorphous film magnetic substance) is vibrated by a vibrator 19 to vary characteristics of a magnetic field generated by the vibration and carry out disturbing action on magnetic flux density to kill the microorganisms in the liquid 11. The vibration cycle, current, etc., are then changed in the above-mentioned step to control life and death of the microorganisms in the liquid 11, which is subsequently returned to the tank 14. The afore-mentioned cycle is repeated a required number of times to kill or control growth of the microorganisms in the liquid 11.
